Well, will you look at that, I'm blogging. Oh dear.
Now that we're past that milestone, let's figure out what this little blog dealio is going to be about.
Hmm... oh yeah, it's about going to Orlando, FL in the fall. Kind of exciting I guess. Ok yes, it's actually thrilling.
So, Disney World has this program called the "Walt Disney World College Program." And guess who got accepted for Fall 2010..... no not that kid, me! I can actually use the phrase "I'm going to Disney World" and it's actually true. Like, "Hey Brooke, sounds like you got an internship for the fall, what are you going to do next?" "Go to Disney World! And work." But hey, it's kind of the same thing, right? Well, I'm saying it is, and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Ok, well, I guess I should let you know what I'm actually doing. I'm peacing out of McDonough on August 8th and checking into the apartments on August 9th. My official job title is a Full-Service Food & Beverage Cast Member. I have no idea where I'm going to be working, I won't find that out until I actually get there.
But yes, back to my arrival, I'll get there August 9th, and my departure date is January 7th, 2011. To answer that question you're pondering, yes, I will be there for thanksgiving, my 21st birthday, christmas, and the new year. So yes, I will not be spending these holidays at home with my family, which is something totally new. But that means they can just visit me in Orlando. Oh darn, going back to Florida... (for those of you that don't know, we lived there throughout most of my elementary and middle school years, with the exception of 4th grade being spent in McDonough. Long story, maybe that will be posted later.)
So, long story short, I've been accepted, payed my deposit, and am now waiting on a meeting with the intern advisor at Tech to fill out all the paperwork so i'll still be a student in the fall.
maybe i'll do one of those "vlog" things.... we shall see. Videos are fun to make, right?
